I also love working with wood and have my own band saw and drill press. I drew the pattern for this bear. It's made of five different pieces. After cutting out the pieces and sanding the rough edges, I stained it with dark walnut MinWax and let it dry. Then I wired the legs and arms onto the body of the bear with twisted picture hanging wire and coat buttons. I have made hundreds of these bears over the years. It sits on top of my roll top desk.
