I had a wonderful day yesterday in Washington DC, viewing the cherry blossoms. It is the 100th anniversary of the gift of the cherry trees from the country of Japan. It was the "peak day" for the blossoms. The sun was shining and it was 80 degrees outside. This photo was taken by the tidal basin.
